Horus University Students’ Entrepreneurial Visit to CIC for a Workshop on Building a Successful Business Model

Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Saber, Chairman of the Board of Trustees, led by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Dabaon, Vice President for Education and Student Affairs, and supervised by Prof. Dr. Hossam El-Din Mostafa, Dean of the Faculty, in collaboration with the University’s Entrepreneurship Center headed by Dr. Mohamed Abdel Khalek, Horus University students continued to shine on their entrepreneurial journey through a distinguished visit to the Canadian International College (CIC) to attend a workshop on building an effective and successful Business Model.

The workshop featured the participation of the Flusi City project team, which ranked fourth among the top ten teams in the Finyology competition across Egyptian universities. The session at CIC focused on how to develop a professional Business Model. The visit was supervised by Dr. Ahmed Sameh Abdelaziz, Lecturer in the Robotics Department at the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence, Horus University, and Director of the SME Support Center at Mansoura University, who ensured the team received guidance throughout the workshop for maximum benefit.

The workshop covered practical topics, including:

  • Market analysis and identifying customer segments
  • Crafting a clear and actionable Value Proposition
  • Structuring revenue streams and operating costs
  • Steps to transform an idea into a sustainable entrepreneurial project

This experience provided students with a unique opportunity to understand how to turn Flusi City from an innovative idea into a viable business model. It also helped them apply strategic thinking and financial planning skills—key elements for any successful entrepreneurial venture.

The workshop was highly interactive, allowing students to discuss their ideas with CIC experts, boosting their confidence in developing their project toward professional incubation.

This participation is part of a series of initiatives supported by Horus University to foster innovation and entrepreneurship, offering practical learning opportunities that prepare a generation capable of competing and shaping the future.
