Orientation Day – Faculty of Artificial Intelligence and Informatics, Horus University

In line with Horus University’s commitment to keeping pace with scientific advancements and opening new horizons for its students, the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence and Informatics organized its first orientation day for new students and their parents on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Ibrahim Saber – Chairman of the Board of Trustees.

The event was attended by:

Prof. Dr. Magda Nasr – Vice President for Postgraduate Studies and Scientific Research
Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Aal – Vice President for Community Service and Environmental Development
Prof. Dr. Hatem Khater – Dean of the Faculty of Engineering
Eng. Mohamed Lotfy – Executive Director of Information Technology at the University
The attendees were welcomed by Prof. Dr. Hossam El-Din Mostafa – Dean of the Faculty of Artificial Intelligence and Informatics, who greeted the students and their families, presented the faculty’s vision and mission, and emphasized its role in embracing the digital transformation era in alignment with Egypt Vision 2030. He also outlined the available academic programs and guided students to choose their specializations based on their abilities and interests.

The event featured welcoming speeches from university leaders, starting with Prof. Dr. Magda Nasr, followed by Prof. Dr. Mohamed Abdel Aal, then Prof. Dr. El-Saeed Abdel Hady, and concluded with Prof. Dr. Hassan El-Shenawy.

Prof. Dr. Hossam El-Din Mostafa concluded the orientation by expressing his gratitude to the faculty members, teaching assistants, parents, and new students, wishing them a successful and distinguished academic year.
